Adidas Terrex FAQs
Terrex is the outdoor line within adidas, covering hiking, trail running and climbing. It includes footwear, clothing and accessories, and uses partnerships with Gore-Tex and Continental rubber alongside adidas cushioning technology developed for running shoes.
Regular adidas covers running, football and lifestyle products designed largely for roads, tracks and everyday wear. Terrex is built for off-road use, with grippier outsoles, weather protection and more durable construction. The two share underlying cushioning technology but are made for different ground.
Many Terrex products are, though not all. Look for Gore-Tex in the product name or description, which indicates a waterproof and breathable membrane. Lighter apparel may use adidas RAIN.RDY instead, which handles showers rather than sustained rain.
We carry Terrex footwear and clothing. Footwear covers Agravic trail-running shoes alongside Skychaser, Trailmaker, Swift R3 and Free Hiker hiking shoes and boots. Clothing is focused on outerwear, including insulated jackets, softshells, wind anoraks, waterproof shells, fleece and T-shirts, plus duffel bags and beanies.
Skychaser and Trailmaker are the hiking families, both available in Gore-Tex and in mid-height versions for ankle support. Free Hiker is the alternative if you want a hiking shoe with a more relaxed, trainer-style shape. The Agravic range is built for trail running, so it is lighter and less supportive underfoot for heavy loads.
