East Keswick in West Yorkshire, just north of Leeds. The name comes from Elliker Fields, a wildlife site near where the brand started in 2015, and the local landscape is what the range is designed around.
Water-resistant rather than fully waterproof. The recycled polyester and coated fabric shed rain and handle a normal British downpour, but the bags are not sealed units and should not be submerged. The roll top closure on the Buckden gives the best protection in the range because it folds over on itself.
A roll top folds the opening down and clips it shut, which keeps water out and lets the capacity change with how much you are carrying. A flap over uses a fixed lid, which is faster to open and holds a more consistent shape. The Buckden is the roll top here; the Cautley is the flap over.
By hand, with lukewarm water, a soft cloth and mild soap. Keep them out of the washing machine and away from harsh detergents, both of which damage the water-resistant coating on the fabric.
