Uskees FAQs
Each four-digit code refers to a specific garment shape, like a factory reference, and it stays the same across colours and seasons. The 3001 is the buttoned overshirt, the 3003 the buttoned workshirt, the 3006 the unlined blazer, the 3045 the ripstop field jacket. The 5000s are trousers, the 6000s shirts, the 7000s jersey and knitwear, and the 4000s socks.
The buttoned overshirt, and the piece the brand is built around — a chore coat drawing on twentieth-century workwear, in organic cotton with corozo buttons, reinforced elbows and deep chest and front pockets. It's cut to be worn over a tee or a shirt.
Same pattern, different intent. The 3001 is the overshirt. The 3006 is the blazer version — unlined and unstructured, with three front patch pockets and an inner pocket, so it reads smarter without being tailored. Both use corozo buttons and reinforced elbows.
Generously and boxy, deliberately so. Uskees recommend sizing down if you want a closer, more formal profile. At your usual size it works as a layer over a t-shirt or shirt.
The garment is made up first and dyed afterwards, rather than the yarn being dyed beforehand. It gives a slightly uneven colour and a softer feel from the start, and the fade continues to develop with wear and washing.
Yes. The core range is organic cotton — grown without pesticides — in a medium weight chosen to be substantial without being heavy, and used across the overshirts, blazers, trousers and jersey.
Uskees is designed in Manchester, and we stock it at 13 Old Bank Street in the city centre as well as at 86 Pinstone Street in Sheffield. Ranges differ between the two shops, so call ahead for a particular number or colour.
