Why the numbers

Uskees names nothing. Each garment carries a four-digit code that works like a factory reference, and the number stays with the shape across every season and colour. The 3001 is the buttoned overshirt — a chore coat with corozo buttons, reinforced elbows and deep chest pockets, and the piece the brand is built on. The 3006 is the same pattern cut as a blazer: unlined, unstructured, three patch pockets on the front. Beyond those, the 3000s are jackets and shirting, the 5000s trousers, the 7000s jersey and knitwear. Once you know the number you want, colour is the only decision left.

Organic cotton, dyed after the fact

Everything is organic cotton, and most of it is dyed once the garment has been made up rather than at the yarn stage. That gives a slightly uneven colour and a softer handle from the start, and it keeps developing — a 3001 worn regularly fades at the elbows and cuffs and settles into shape within a few months. Fabrics sit at medium weight: heavy enough to hold a line, light enough for most of the year.

How it fits

Cuts are relaxed throughout, and the 3006 blazer is the one to think about. It's generously sized and boxy, and Uskees themselves suggest going a size down if you want it closer to the body. At your usual size it works as a layer over a tee or a shirt rather than as tailoring. The 3001 overshirt is cut the same way — meant to go over something, not tucked in.
