Sweats and trousers lead it

Sweats and knitwear are the biggest group by some distance. Hooded Chase, Vista and American Script sweats sit alongside the plainer RGGD and No Play crews, with the Firth and Alten sweaters covering the knitwear end. Trousers come next and cover most of the range — Flint in its garment-dyed colours, the straight-legged Abbott and Nolan, and both the Single Knee and Double Knee workwear cuts.

T-shirts, shirting and outerwear

The graphic tees are the ones that don't come back, since Carhartt WIP prints a new set each season and rarely repeats them — the Impact, Furoshiki and Piggybank among them here. Shirting runs to the Reno and Cronyn shirt jacs and a handful of check shirts. Outerwear is the smaller group: the Bolan and Clarton jackets, the canvas OG Active, and three Classic Vests.

Bags and accessories are worth a look

This is the part people miss. Irwin totes and shoulder bags, the Otley backpack, Dawn belt bags and the Alec wallet are all reduced, along with Icon and Preston caps, the Webster hat and watch gloves. On a sale page dominated by clothing, the accessories tend to sell through last.

These are pieces from earlier collections in the same fabrics and cuts as the full-price range — a Flint pant in a sale colour is the same trouser as the Flint at full price. What changes each season is the colour and the garment dye, so a reduced shade generally won't come back. Sizes clear from the middle outwards, so if you take a medium or a 32 waist it's worth looking early rather than waiting for a further markdown.
