Ciele Athletics was founded in Montreal in 2014 by Jeremy Bresnen and Mike Giles, who wanted running headwear that worked properly on long efforts without looking like standard sports kit. The brand has since become close to a default among distance runners, and the caps have carried well beyond running into everyday wear.

The range is organised around named silhouettes rather than seasons. The GOCap is the original: a five-panel cap with a soft flat brim, sized to fit most heads, and the sensible starting point for anyone new to the brand. The FSTCap — short for Fast — sits lower on the head with a more fitted crown and uses the lightest fabrics in the line, made for race day and harder sessions where every gram counts.

Across both, the construction is consistent: lightweight woven fabrics chosen to wick sweat and dry quickly, UPF 40+ protection through the brim and front panels for long exposure in summer, and reflective detailing on many colourways for low light. Recycled Repreve fibre is used through much of the range.
