The Collins Donkey Jacket is a workwear-inspired piece from heritage brand, Gloverall. This premium jacket is made from Italian wool Melton and has dry-waxed cotton patches from world-leading waxed fabric innovators, Halley Stevensons.
The jacket is an ode to the ‘donkey’ jackets worn by workers along the Manchester ship canal in the 1800s, and the patches were for protection against the constant rain – no surprise there then. Not only is it pretty damn smart, but it’s also apparently named after acclaimed British Grand Prix champion Peter Collins.
