Kestin: Technically Casual Wear

New to Yards for SS21, Scottish designer Kestin Hare offer’s up the High Sunderland Collection for his brand Kestin, which is inspired by the life, work and home of visionary textile designer, Bernat Klein.

“I’ve been inspired by Klein’s design ethos and singular vision for good design, creating his own world of creativity in the same couple of miles of remote Scottish countryside where he designed and built his house/studio/factory. His eye for interiors, textiles and colour is still as powerful and relevant today as it was then, his High Sunderland is one of my all-time favourite houses.” –  Kestin Hare, Creative Director.

Using a vast colour palette that reflects the tones inside the modernist dream of a house, the High Sunderland collection is a mix of pollen yellow, mint, dusty pink alongside natural earthy tones like dark tan, slate, and sierra.

The eclectic textiles of Klein’s home is sure inspiration to the latest range, which utilises technical materials and patterns with classic yet contemporary silhouettes – making this an archetypal collection that features many outstanding products.

From the technical, British Royal Navy-inspired Luss Cargo Pant to the classic corduroy Armadale Overshirt – a Kestin mainstay – the collection offers something for everyone that’s looking for technical fabrics that have well-designed functionality without any compromise. The best-selling Inverness Trouser makes a much-welcomed return with its relaxed tapered fit, being made from a durable and water-repellent Italian cotton and nylon blend and offered in a subtle dark charcoal and a seasonal lichen green colourway. For those after a classy windbreaker that’s fit for both a weekend ramble and a casual coffee house visit, the Crieff Sweat is a Kestin staple that’s available from us in a military green and sierra.
